New Campsite!

Due to a large amount of interest we have decided to return to the popular campsite PALMYRE LOISIRS!! This site is located in the Charente Maritime region of France.

Palmyre Loisirs offers a large amount of entertainment from professional artists and trained staff.  There are a number of beaches nearby and a zoo! The site also includes 3 pools, 1 indoor and 2 outdoor with water slides and a varied number of activities to enjoy!

We want to know what you’re opinions are on this new and improved site and what you used to love about it!

  1. I have some great memories of Palmyre Loisirs fantastic entertainment every night and the most dangereous waterslide ever. I holidayed there for 3 or 4 years in a row in the late 90′s as a grown up teenager and can’t wait to go back with my own kids now. I know if it had been in your brochure last year I would have gone there rather than the Haven site just down the road which was a royal rip off – had to pay extra for a car parking permit on site.

The zoo just round the corner was special memory too, where else can you feed a giraffe from your hand? The beaches were a bit special too make sure you turn right not left as you get on the beach unless you are a naturist :-)

One thing i did find a bit wacky was that the pool area used to close for lunch everyday – not really sure what that was about! Is that still the case?

  2. From our understanding Palmyre Loisirs will continue to close the pool for lunch in 2012. This is so that the life guards can have an allocated lunch break whilst knowing customers are safe from accidents in the pool.

  3. There was a great restaurant on this site run by an English Chef do you know if it’s (he’s) still there?

  4. The restaurant you are referring to is still there, However it is now run by a talented team of people but unfortunately the english chef is no longer there. As you can understand he has furthered his career by taking a new job oppertunity.

  5. I definitely knew about almost all of this, but with that said, I still believed it turned out useful. Great blog!
