La Bolée d'Air
A lovely medium sized family site, which is very well looked after, La Bolée d'Air is ideal for younger families and parties looking for a more relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Situated in the southern Vendée, St. Vincent sur Jard is a lovely seaside village and was the haunt of the famous French statesman Georges Clemenceau.
The site itself is only a short distance from the Bouil Beach and is set in lush green surroundings with excellent facilities including 2 swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor. The outdoor pool boasts a water slide and sunbathing terrace whilst the indoor pool has an adjacent Jacuzzi and sauna for the ultimate in holiday relaxation.
For the more adventurous, there is a multi sport court where you can enjoy 5 a side football, basketball or volleyball. Tennis, boules and table tennis are also available for more leisurely sporting enthusiasts. There are games and a TV available in the bar, where organised functions take place in July and August.
There is an on site shop for those forgotten essentials, as well as a great little takeaway. Other facilities include a launderette, mini golf, bureau de change and there are cycles to hire on site. Sun worshippers will be pleased to know that the beach is only half a mile away.

For an exciting day out for all the family, why not visit the futuristic theme park Futuroscope, which is near Poitiers? We also highly recommend the famous Puy du Fou at Les Epesses near Cholet - this is a theme park recreating scenes and battles from yesteryear. There is a Gallo Roman amphitheatre, which seats a crowd of 3000 people as well as a lake complex where sea battles are recreated. The "son et lumiére" show in the evening is a great attraction for young and old alike, with some 1000 actors recreating the scene.
