Camping holidays in France really are an excellent way for the whole family to relax. Being a member of the Chadotel group of campsites, you can be assured of some excellent facilities.
Travelling by ferry is the simplest way to enjoy a campsite holiday in France, and there are several choices available. Brittany Ferries and Condor Ferries have frequent sailings to Roscoff, St Malo, Cherbourg and Caen. To include a trip to Disneyland Paris, the less expensive short sea crossings to Calais are more convenient.

Families just want to chill out and relax on a French camping holiday. At La Bolee d'Air the pace is calm, and the lush surroundings aid in providing an air of tranquillity.
Although smaller than some of our other campsites, the same high standard of facilities are present. The great little shop sells the all essential baguettes, croissants , milk, wine & toiletries, and the takeaway is superb.
Asides from the usual pizza or burger and chips, fresh mussels are frequently on the menu.
The site is very family friendly and children are well catered for. The lovely sandy playground is ideal for younger children, whilst teenagers can enjoy a game of tennis. The multi -sports court is ever popular, with regular tournaments being organised in football, basketball and volleyball. Mini golf is also available as well as the usual table-tennis and games room. Francophiles can enjoy a game of Petanque.
The 5-12 year olds are sure to want to come to the Koala Club which has several activity sessions planned each week to include mini Olympics, painting, treasure hunts etc. Its the perfect way to make some holiday friends.
Of course the on site swimming pool complex is the perfect place to cool off from the hot Vendee sun. With a main pool and waterslide and separate paddling pool, all members of the family can splash around happily. For early and late season, the indoor swimming pool is a welcome extra, where adults have the added luxury of enjoying a Jacuzzi or Sauna.
The sun terrace is adjacent to the bar area, so you can enjoy a lovely chilled drink or an ice-cream between dips in the pool. During high season the bar also has organised family entertainment both during the daytime and of an evening.

The cosmopolitan resort town of La Sables d'Olonne is just a short drive away, where guests can enjoy a stroll along the lovely promenade, taking in the expanse of wonderful shops, boutiques and places to eat.
Families will love a day out at the Zoo.
Talmont St Hilaire is a medieval town which has plenty to offer.
The Motor museum has a fine collection of vintage, veteran and unusual motor vehicles, whilst the Chateau at Talmont tells the story of invading Normans, and welcomed several Kings of France including Richard the Lionheart during the Crusades.
The weekly market at Talmont is also worth a visit and there are plenty of lovely bistros to choose from.
Futuroscope a futuristic theme park near Poitiers is an exciting family day out.
A day trip to Noirmoutier is a good option regardless of weather conditions. Splashing around at the Oceanile water park is an excellent activity on hot sunny days, whilst the Sea Life Aquarium is equally fantastic for escaping the heat of the day, being indoors it is a perfect activity if the weather is not so good.
