Camping de Kervel

At only 700 metres from the fabulous beach of St Anne de Palud this holiday parc has a location that most would envy. The long sandy beach is sheltered and has beautiful views over the Bay of Douarnenez. The parc itself occupies a countryside location just 5 minutes drive from the town of Douarnenez, here you'll find all types of shops, bars and restaurants. On site the well laid out pool complex comprises a heated main and children's pool and a large water slide.

Nearby:

Venturing down to the old port seafront of Douarnenez you are able to sample some of the most delightful seafood restaurants in Brittany, each with their individual offerings of local fruits de mer. Local tradition has it that the town of Ys, Brittany's own Atlantis is beneath the waves of the bay of Douarnenez. The picturesque 15th century village of Locronan is only 5 minutes from the parc, where you'll find what is described as some of the most important architecture of the period.

Travel just a little further afield and the delights of Quimper (pronounced Campair) are apparent. The Cornouaille capital is a large city and it is not unusual to find local women in traditional Breton dress. St. Coretin's Cathedral is a fine example of Gothic architecture and dates from the 13th Century.
