La Dune des Sables has an enviable location in the dunes near to the bustling cosmopolitan resort of Sables d’Olonne. Surrounded on 3 sides by the sea with the impressive Olonne forest behind, the site is becoming increasingly popular with British Holidaymakers. La Dune des Sables has an enviable location with direct beach access on the popular La Chaume peninsular, only 1½ miles from the cosmopolitan resort town of Les Sables d'Olonne. Camping La Dune benefits from the sunny coastal micro-climate of the lower Vendee. Additionally, the pool side bar and patio are perfect for watching over the kids in the pool.
Of an evening, from here you may want to watch the sun go down over the impressive sea view. During the day time, there are plenty of activities available to keep the young and old entertained – why not take a break from the hot Vendee sunshine and take a bike ride through the cool, shady forest?

Les Sables d’Olonne, one of the West Coast’s most fashionable resorts is just five minutes drive away. See how the old style fishing port of La Chaume contrasts with the modern expanse of cafés and restaurants along the promenade. Also worthy of a mention is Le Puy de Fou – a medieval spectacular and theme parc, recreating scenes and battles from 1429. There is a Gallo-Roman amphitheatre which seats 3000, and an impressive lake complex where sea battles are created. The sound and light show in the evening should not be missed.
