For a fun family day out on hot sunny days, splashing around at the brilliant Atlantic Toboggan waterpark is great for cooling off.
Many watersports including wake boarding and surfing can be enjoyed on the beach at the lively resort of St Jean de Monts.

The Sealand Aquarium at Noirmoutier is well worth a visit. Just 30 minutes away and being indoors, it is a great day out regardless of the weather conditions.
The medieval theme park Le Puy de Fou is an exceptional day (and night) out. There is a Roman amphitheatre where 14th century battles are re-enacted and Viking warships are burned in the waters.
