Lou Pignada

Set amidst pine trees just off the coast, Lou Pignada enjoys fantastic facilities and even better weather. The fine sandy beach is only a few minutes drive away or try out the pool complex with its water slides and sun bathing terraces. There is also a children's pool and Jacuzzi so all the family are catered for. The forest region you will be holidaying in is an ideal spot for cycle and horse rides with many established paths meandering through some of the most beautiful countryside in France. The resort of Vieux Boucau is just down the coast and not only does it offer the water sports enthusiast some of the best conditions in Europe (surf dudes will be most impressed) but it also has one of the most colourful markets on the West Coast.

Nearby

For a more cultural insight to the area, we would highly recommend Biarritz, especially beautiful by night. The immense power of the Atlantic can be seen crashing into the coast and the casino is quite spectacular when illuminated in the evening. Lourdes is within reach for a day trip for the spiritually inclined. A trip into northern Spain is also a possibility, the whole area is a mixture of cultures for those wanting something different. There are 2 freshwater lakes in the immediate vicinity at Leon and Soustons, which are suitable for water sports and fishing. The southern region of Les Landes is again famous for its gastronomic delights such as Foie Gras and Confit de Canard, and the proximity of the coast means sea food is never in short supply. Of course, it would be inexcusable not to sample some of the local wine whilst partaking of the culinary delights.
