Carnac Plage has been described as "the no.1 resort in Brittany" and Les Menhirs has an enviable location just 5 minutes walk from the bustling centre and hive of activity.
Here at French Freedom we consider it to be "the best campsite in Brittany for a beach holiday".
The campsite itself has much to offer. From table tennis to multi sports, a kids playground and even horse riding, there is always something to do at Les Menhirs.
The lush plantation and mature poplar trees afford some shade from the heat of the summer sun. Guests will most certainly want to cool off at the excellent waterpark. Kids will love the dizzying heights of the giant water slides whilst mum and dad relax in the Jacuzzi or burn off some calories at the fitness centre.
There are both indoor and outdoor pools, making this a perfect location for family camping holidays in France at any time of the season. To keep the children busy we also run the Koala Club, offering varied activities whilst parents enjoy a well earned rest.
On an evening there is a varied entertainment programme which includes live bands and dancing. This really is an excellent choice of campsite for holidays in France.

Taking a short drive down the coast you will come to the attractive port of Trinite-sur-Mer. Enjoy a chilled aperitif at one of the amazing little bistros along the front. You will find a wonderful array of yachts moored in the harbour.
Why not take a boat trip out to Brittany's largest island, the wonderful Belle Ile with its undulating countryside and enormous beaches.
The area around Carnac is without rival the most important prehistoric site in France, if not Europe. Here can be found dolmen, 2000 or so standing stones, 3000 or so menhirs and tumuli - fascinating stuff for those in the know.
For anybody that's feeling energetic, the enjoyable yet strenuous activity of sand yachting on the beach at Carnac is a welcome alternative to sunbathing.
For days without sunshine, a trip to the Aquarium at the nearby ancient city of Vannes is definitely worth a visit, as is the colourful market at picturesque Auray.
