The mobile homes are set in sheltered sandy woodland and all feature wooden decks. All the mobile homes have pre bookable large Australian style BBQs for that perfect al fresco dining experience.

There is a choice of several beaches nearby including some of the best in France, the nearest of which is just over 1 mile from the site with free parking.

Glorious sandy beaches running into a backdrop of pine forests typify the Charente region. The weather in this region is very special and the area regularly receives more hours of sunshine than even the south of France. Just over ½ a mile from La Palmyre town centre, this parc is ideally situated. The town features a large weekly market and is home to the world-renowned Zoo de La Palmyre. You will also find all kinds of shops, bars and restaurants.

The cosmopolitan resort of Royan – probably the finest seaside resort on the west coast of France – is only 8 miles away and will not disappoint.

Throughout France food and drink is all important and this region is no exception. The ‘fruits de mer’ can be sampled throughout the locality with fresh oysters from the world-renowned oyster beds of Marennes featuring prominently. The local drink is Pineau des Charentes and bartering with manufacturers at local markets is great fun. A short trip inland will take you to the town of Cognac, which lends its name to the drink. The famous Cognac distilleries of Martell, Hennessey and Courvoisier all offer guided tours in English and the opportunity to purchase discounted products.
